ATP Madrid Masters: Buyun Chokert lost three straight games to Fearnley and missed a good start

On April 24, local time, the 2025 ATP 1000 Madrid Masters continued the first round of contention, and the only Chinese mainland player to play in this tournament, Buyun Chaokert, lost 3-6/6-7(2) to British teenager Fearnley, who broke through from the qualifying round, and continued to miss the first victory of the main draw of the personal clay Masters while losing three consecutive opponents.

Buyunchokert began his full-scale ATP Tour this season, opting out of the ATP Munich after a disappointing defeat in the first round of the Monte Carlo Masters. The two players have played each other twice before, with Byunchaokert suffering two straight defeats on hard and grass. In this match, Fernley's strong serve created great difficulties for Buyun Chaokert, and he suffered two breaks in the first set to lose the first set 3-6. In the second set, Buyun Chaokert still couldn't find a good way to deal with it, and although he fought back to take the game into a tie-break after falling behind 2-5 in the game, he lost six points in a row and lost 6-7(2).
