On August 3, 2025, the champion of the ITF Lexington W75 women's singles event was decided. The tournament's fourth seed, Chinese player Wang Xiyu, fought hard to reverse her match against Indonesian player Janice Zhang with scores of 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, ending her opponent's 11-match winning streak against Chinese players and securing her fifth career title (including both ITF and WTA tours).

After being plagued by injuries, Wang Xiyu took a three-month break following the Australian Open this season. Upon returning to the court, she was unable to advance past the qualifying rounds in both the French Open and Wimbledon, causing her world ranking to drop outside the top 100. During the North American hard court season, Wang decided to start from ITF events, reaching the semifinals at the first ITF Evansville W100 (defeating Yuan Yue in the quarterfinals), and finally achieving her long-awaited title at this event. After earning 75 ranking points and $9,142 in prize money, Wang Xiyu's ranking rose to No. 138.
