A Vietnamese female volleyball star has received an important decision concerning Bích Tuyền.

In the Hoa Lư Bình Điền Cup final earlier this year against Thông Tin Đông Bắc, Coach Thái Thanh Tùng shifted Nguyễn Thị Trinh from middle blocker to the outside hitter position to replace Ánh Thảo, and she successfully completed the task. This decision helped Ninh Bình overturn the match to win 3-2 overall and secure the championship.

Although primarily a middle blocker, Nguyễn Thị Trinh has a balanced skill set, which enables her to be versatile and adapt to various roles while maintaining effective performance.

Additionally, Ninh Bình has no shortage of middle blockers and can field the duo Lê Thanh Thúy and Lưu Thị Huệ. These are likely reasons why Coach Thái Thanh Tùng decided to test Nguyễn Thị Trinh as an opposite hitter. The final decision is still unknown, but it is possible that Nguyễn Thị Trinh will take over the opposite hitter role from Bích Tuyền in the second phase of this year’s National Volleyball Championship.
