By defeating Geleximco Hưng Yên, the VietinBank volleyball team has almost secured their ticket to the 2025 National Championship semifinals.
Guided by Coach Tuấn Kiệt, VietinBank won 3-0 against Geleximco Hưng Yên (25-18, 25-23, 25-14) in the second phase of the 2025 Women’s National Volleyball Championship held today (October 7). This victory strengthens their hold on a top 4 spot and moves them closer to the semifinals.
In the first set, Geleximco Hưng Yên faced difficulties due to a lack of quality setters, making Helena Grozer and Đỗ Lại Yến Nhi’s efforts insufficient to prevent defeat. Meanwhile, VietinBank showcased fluid and efficient gameplay to take the first set 25-18.
The second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship is being held in Ninh Bình from October 7 to 16, featuring 16 teams (8 men’s and 8 women’s). The teams will complete the group stage from October 7 to 10, with the top 4 men’s and 4 women’s teams advancing to the semifinals (October 12-13).
After phase 1, LPB Ninh Bình leads the women’s standings with 14 points, followed by VTV Bình Điền Long An (12 points), Binh chủng Thông tin and VietinBank (both 9 points), Hóa chất Đức Giang and Xi măng Long Sơn Thanh Hóa (both 5 points), Hưng Yên (6 points), and TPHCM (0).
