Vietnam's women's volleyball team's rival calls up European star, aiming for a big surprise at the SEA Games

Indonesia's leading volleyball star, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, has been called up to prepare for the 2025 SEA Games.

The Central Executive Committee of the All Indonesia Volleyball Federation (PP PBVSI) has summoned 18 female volleyball players to join PBVSI's national training center (Pelatnas) to get ready for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this December.

"The national training camp will commence on October 23. It's time to concentrate, compete, and dedicate ourselves fully to the Indonesia women's volleyball team," PBVSI's social media account stated.

Included in the call-up list is Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, who currently plays for the Manisa BBSK club in the Turkish Volleyball League. At 26 years old, Megawati is Indonesia's top volleyball star.
