Vietnamese female volleyball star is on the verge of a new historic achievement, living happily with her husband, a military lieutenant colonel.
She is not a well-known figure in Vietnamese women's volleyball but is considered a symbol of luck with unprecedented achievements and is nearing a new historic milestone.
Bich Nga is about to achieve another historic feat.
After winning her first national championship title in 2023, LPBank Ninh Binh is once again close to glory as they have qualified for the 2025 Women's National Volleyball Championship final, where they will face VTV Binh Dien Long An.
If the volleyball team from the ancient capital wins this season, outside hitter Bui Thi Bich Nga will earn her third national championship title in the last four seasons, a new personal record for the Phu Tho player and an achievement unmatched by any other female volleyball star in Vietnam.
It is noteworthy that, as in previous seasons, Bich Nga is only serving as a substitute for LPBank Ninh Binh this season. She barely has any playing time, let alone competing for a starting spot.
Bich Nga and Duy Khanh are one of the "golden couples" in Vietnamese volleyball.
However, luck still accompanies the girl from the ancestral land, who has previously made history. It is remembered that in the LPBank Ninh Binh team that won the 2023 national championship, there was a quiet figure with a special story — Bui Thi Bich Nga.
The outside hitter born in 1997 from Phu Tho is not a name frequently appearing in the media or attracting much attention from fans, but her achievements in recent seasons are impressive enough to earn admiration from any Vietnamese volleyball lover.
Bich Nga is affectionately called the "lucky charm" of Vietnamese women's volleyball by fans. In just two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023, she has been part of the national championship victories of two different teams — a rare accomplishment in the history of this sport in Vietnam.
