'Volleyball beauty queen' Kim Thanh shows modesty after winning the championship with VTV Bình Điền Long An

Đặng Thị Kim Thanh plays a crucial role in VTV Bình Điền Long An’s successful defense of the national women’s volleyball championship.

The beautiful attacker from VTV Bình Điền Long An, Đặng Thị Kim Thanh, remained humble despite playing a major part in helping her team secure the national volleyball championship for the second consecutive year after a thrilling victory over LPB Ninh Bình on the evening of October 16.

Kim Thanh holds LPB Ninh Bình in high regard, acknowledging that VTV Bình Điền Long An still has certain weaknesses but managed to succeed through strong team spirit.

"I feel happy and proud that VTV Bình Điền Long An has won the championship. I think the team still has weaknesses in many positions, but thanks to unity and resilience, we successfully defended our title.", Kim Thanh hesitantly shared with VTVCab. "Today, the team played with a relaxed spirit and determination to give their best. I consider LPB Ninh Bình a strong opponent with very tall blockers. Ninh Bình’s foreign player Paskova is an all-rounder: she excels in approach, attacking hits, and serving, handling all tasks well."

Đặng Thị Kim Thanh is one of the most important players in VTV Bình Điền Long An’s title defense. Although she has played as a middle blocker in recent years, due to the team’s shortage — with Trần Thị Thanh Thúy playing abroad and Nguyễn Thị Trà My just returning from injury — Kim Thanh was shifted to the opposite hitter position, which she had played early in her career as a beauty queen born in 1999.
