After shining at the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, hitter Đặng Thị Kim Thanh is anticipated to be named in the Vietnam women's volleyball squad for SEA Games 33 at the end of this year.
VTV Bình Điền Long An delivered an emotional performance in the final of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship by staging a spectacular comeback against LPB Ninh Bình, successfully defending their championship title.
Throughout this journey, Đặng Thị Kim Thanh stood out as the most prominent player. Although coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa assigned her to play as an opposite hitter, Kim Thanh demonstrated the composure and skill of one of Vietnam’s top attackers.
In the second phase of the season, her consistent form and all-around offensive and defensive abilities made her a key pillar in the Western team’s tactical setup.
In the final match, VTV Bình Điền Long An faced difficulties when trailing LPB Ninh Bình 1-2. However, their resilient fighting spirit and Kim Thanh’s timely brilliance helped the team rally back. In the fourth set, they saved 3 championship points before narrowly winning 15-12 in the fifth set, concluding the match 3-2.
Kim Thanh scored 26 points and acted as the emotional leader, inspiring the entire team during the most intense moments. Her outstanding performance earned the 1999-born player widespread praise from volleyball fans across various forums.

The Vietnam women's volleyball team is expected to regroup for the second training camp immediately after the conclusion of the 2025 national championship. This will be a crucial preparation phase for coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt’s squad to pursue the SEA Games 33 gold medal. The call-up list for this training phase has yet to be announced.
