Fifteen men's and women's volleyball teams have completed their player registrations in preparation for competing at the 2025 National A-Class Championship Finals held in Hà Tĩnh.
Ahead of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Championship Finals, taking place from October 23 to November 2 in Hà Tĩnh, teams have officially finalized their rosters with 14 athletes each. The pre-tournament technical meeting proceeded smoothly without any issues related to regulations or personnel.
This year’s tournament features a record number of foreign players (6 athletes) from various countries. Among them, the Hanoi and Bắc Ninh women's teams each registered two foreign players, while the Hà Tĩnh men's team and Quảng Ninh women's team each have one foreign player. This is the first time the National A-Class Finals have seen such a large presence of foreign athletes, promising high-quality and exciting matches.
Regarding domestic players, many prominent figures in Vietnamese volleyball continue to participate. In the men's category, well-known players such as Nguyễn Văn Quốc Duy (Vĩnh Long), Quản Trọng Nghĩa (Mobile Police Command), Từ Thanh Thuận, and Dương Văn Tiên (VLXD Bình Dương) are expected to shine. On the women's side, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh (Quảng Ninh), Nguyễn Vân Hà (Bắc Ninh), Bùi Thị Ánh Thảo, and Vi Thị Yến Nhi (Hà Nội) are considered potential game-changers.
Notably, outside hitter Đặng Thị Hồng will be absent due to a ban from official competitions imposed by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation starting September 2025. Consequently, the Thái Nguyên women's team, which had planned to hire foreign players, must rely solely on domestic athletes for this year's finals.
In the men's category, the host team Hà Tĩnh aims to secure promotion to the 2026 National Championship. The team has registered a roster of 14 athletes, including Thai foreign player Assanaphan Chantajorn, who is expected to make a significant impact on offense.
This year's finals bring together 15 teams: 7 men's teams (Vĩnh Long, Hà Tĩnh, Mobile Police Command, VLXD Bình Dương, Military Region 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang Youth) and 8 women's teams (Quảng Ninh, Bắc Ninh, Thái Nguyên, Hà Nội, Hải Phòng, Phú Thọ, Thông tin - Đông Bắc Youth, VTV Bình Điền Long An Youth).
According to the format, teams will compete in group stages, with the top 4 teams from each category advancing to the semifinals. The men's and women's champions will earn promotion to the 2026 National Championship.
