The 2025 Women's Volleyball Club World Championship is scheduled from December 8 to 14 in São Paulo, Brazil.
The current national champions, VTV Bình Điền Long An, will participate in the 2025 Women's Volleyball Club World Championship held from December 8 to 14 in São Paulo, Brazil.
According to the announcement from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), this year's tournament features eight top teams: Osasco and Praia Clube (Brazil), Imoco Conegliano and Scandicci (Italy), Lima (Peru), Zhetysu VC (Kazakhstan), Zamalek (Egypt), and VTV Bình Điền Long An—the sole representative from Southeast Asia.
The team from the western region earned their spot by finishing as runners-up at the 2025 Asian Women's Club Championship held in April. At that event, VTV Bình Điền Long An fought hard but lost 1-3 to Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu VC in the final.
Following that success, coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa’s squad reaffirmed their top domestic status by successfully defending the 2025 national championship, maintaining a consistent performance streak over two consecutive years.
Long An’s current roster blends experience with youth, featuring players such as Đặng Thị Kim Thanh, Trịnh Huỳnh Bảo Ngọc, Nguyễn Thị Trà My, Nguyễn Khánh Đang, Võ Thị Kim Thoa, alongside American foreign player Roni Jones Perry.
However, the team will be without their main attacker Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, who is currently playing for Gunma Green Wings in the Japanese league. Nevertheless, coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa stated that the team has planned to compensate for this absence by strengthening fitness and tactics to be ready for facing the world’s top teams.
