The initial trio of games in the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Finals witnessed overwhelming victories by the favored teams.
The 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Finals officially kicked off yesterday, October 23, in Hà Tĩnh. The strong favorite for promotion in the men's category, host Hà Tĩnh, delivered an impressive performance with a decisive win.
Facing the Mobile Police Command team featuring national player Quản Trọng Nghĩa, Hà Tĩnh was still considered the stronger side thanks to home advantage and a quality roster including Trần Đức Hạnh, Đinh Văn Phương, Dương Ngọc Danh (Mỏ Hồng), and foreign player Assanaphan Chantajorn.
Hà Tĩnh quickly took the lead and gradually extended the gap against BTL CSCĐ, showing balance across all positions, while the mountain team’s blockers effectively minimized the threat posed by Trọng Nghĩa. The margin widened further thanks to Đức Hạnh and Ngọc Danh’s efforts, with the hosts winning the first set convincingly 25-15.
In the second set, BTL CSCĐ started well and even led at times against Hà Tĩnh. However, from mid-set, Đức Hạnh and his teammates restored order and powered to a 25-17 victory. The third set mirrored the first, with coach Trần Đăng Thành’s team dominating despite resting some key players. Ultimately, Hà Tĩnh defeated BTL CSCĐ 3-0 (25-15; 25-17; 25-15).
In the two women’s matches, Quảng Ninh, featuring star Vi Thị Như Quỳnh, displayed absolute dominance over Phú Thọ (formerly Vĩnh Phúc). The team from the mining region won the first two sets by large margins, 25-8 and 25-9, before easing in the third set to claim a 25-16 victory.
Meanwhile, Thái Nguyên, without Đặng Thị Hồng in the lineup, still managed a 3-0 win (25-14; 25-18; 25-18) over Hải Phòng (formerly Hải Dương).
The group stage matches of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Finals will continue today, October 24, featuring championship hopefuls such as VLXD Bình Dương (men) and Bắc Ninh (women).
