The Vietnamese volleyball champions are open to the idea of joining the 2025 Women's Club World Championship, which is scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from December 8 to 14.
The women's volleyball team VTV Bình Điền Long An is carefully evaluating the option to compete in the 2025 Women's Club World Championship, planned for São Paulo, Brazil, from December 8 to 14.
A team representative stated that they are fully aware of the event plan organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). Although it is an important tournament, the team must carefully consider personnel to ensure professional quality before making a final decision.
According to FIVB's announcement, this year's competition will feature eight top clubs worldwide, including Osasco and Praia Clube (Brazil), Imoco Conegliano and Scandicci (Italy), Lima (Peru), Zhetysu VC (Kazakhstan), Zamalek (Egypt), and VTV Bình Điền Long An (Vietnam). The western team earned their spot by finishing as runners-up at the 2025 Asian Club Championship, losing 1-3 to Zhetysu VC in the final last April.
However, participating in the tournament in Brazil might be challenging due to scheduling conflicts with the Vietnamese women's national volleyball team’s preparation for the 33rd SEA Games.
Several key club members, including coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa and star players like Thanh Thúy and Kim Thoa, are likely to be occupied with national team duties, preventing the club from fielding its strongest lineup.
It is reported that the club has sent a letter to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) to coordinate with FIVB regarding confirmation or adjustment of their participation plans. Once an official response is received, the team will announce its final decision.
