Certain players of the Vietnam women's volleyball team for SEA Games 33 will assemble late because of clashes with the 2025 National A-Class Championship schedule.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team planned to gather in Quang Ninh from October 25, but due to the overlap with the finals of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Championship, the full squad cannot assemble at the beginning stage.
The coaching staff decided to postpone specialized training until early next week to allow players to complete their club commitments and have time to travel.
Currently, five players have not yet joined the team: Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Le Thuy Linh, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, and Pham Quynh Huong.
Among them, outside hitter Vi Thi Nhu Quynh is considered a key player in coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's tactical setup, having contributed significantly in international tournaments earlier in 2025. She is currently playing for Quang Ninh Club, which aims to secure promotion to the National Championship.
According to plans, after completing her duties at SEA Games 33, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh will move to Indonesia to play professionally with Yogya Falcons, marking a new milestone in her career.
For this training camp, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet summoned 20 players, including many veterans such as Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Nguyen Phuong Quynh, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, along with young talents Ha Kieu Vy, Pham Quynh Huong, and Le Nhu Anh.
The entire team will train until December 20, aiming for the gold medal at this year’s SEA Games.
Additionally, coach Nguyen Trong Linh (from Thong Tin - Dong Bac Club), one of the team’s assistants, is currently leading his club in the A-Class finals in Ha Tinh and will join the national team after the tournament ends on November 2.
