Thanh Thúy ranks among the top 10 highest scorers in the Japan National Volleyball Championship

Trần Thị Thanh Thúy is showing excellent form in her comeback to the Japan Women's National Volleyball Championship, representing Gunma Green Wings.

Outside hitter Trần Thị Thanh Thúy is currently ranked in the top 10 point scorers of the 2025-2026 Japan Women's National Volleyball League (SV.League), according to the official league website.

After 6 matches in the 2025 SV.League, Trần Thị Thanh Thúy has accumulated 99 points, including 91 attack points, 4 blocks, and 4 service aces. This achievement places the captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team 9th on the list of top scorers, ahead of stars like Yoshino Sato (90 points), Iris Scholten (73 points), and Ajcharaporn Kongyot (71 points), among others.

Above "4T" on this list are Lena Stigrot (104 points), Camilla Mingardi (109 points), Sylvia Nwakalor (110 points), Giovanna Day (111 points), Lise Van Hecke (116 points), Danielle Cuttino (118 points), Olivia Rozanski — Thanh Thúy’s teammate (121 points), and Lucille Gicquel (122 points).

Thanh Thúy joined Gunma Green Wings at the beginning of this Japan National Volleyball Championship season on a loan contract from VTV Bình Điền Long An and is one of three foreign players on the team along with Rozanski and Nasya Dimitrova.

With years of previous experience playing in Japan and good physical condition, Thanh Thúy has delivered an outstanding performance, effectively using her superior physique and smart playing style to score valuable points for Gunma Green Wings. Additionally, her defensive skills and first-touch reception are highly impressive.

In the last two matches against PFU BlueCats — Thanh Thúy’s former team — the outside hitter from Bình Dương scored over 20 points each game. The strong performances of the foreign trio: "4T," Rozanski, and Dimitrova are helping Gunma Green Wings start the season well, currently sitting 7th on the standings with a 3-win, 3-loss record.

Thanh Thúy and her teammates will face Kurobe AquaFaries next in the SV.League 2025-2026. This match is scheduled for 12:05 PM on Saturday, November 1st, Vietnam time.
