Strength and conditioning coach Karl Lim is scheduled to be in Vietnam on November 5th to keep working alongside the national women's volleyball team during their preparation for significant objectives in late 2025.
After a brief return to his home country, Australian fitness expert Karl Lim will come back to Vietnam on November 5th to continue assisting the national women's volleyball team in their preparations for important targets at the end of 2025.
According to information from the coaching staff of the Vietnam women's volleyball team, Karl Lim’s return is part of a cooperation program between the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) and the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) aimed at enhancing physical training support for national teams.
Previously, Mr. Karl Lim spent over six months working in Vietnam, directly involved in developing training programs and overseeing the fitness of players during major tournaments such as the AVC Nations Cup 2025, VTV Cup 2025, Shanghai Future Stars 2025, the 2025 World Championship, and the SEA V.League 2025.
Karl Lim is highly regarded due to his extensive experience working with top volleyball teams in Australia and his role as a fitness advisor within the FIVB training system.
On this return, he will continue collaborating with head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to refine specialized training exercises aimed at improving the women's team’s strength, endurance, and recovery capabilities — key factors for elite competition.
Currently, the Vietnam women's volleyball team is training in Quang Ninh with a full squad following the conclusion of the 2025 National A-level Volleyball Championship. This is a crucial period for the team to build physical fitness and fine-tune tactics before upcoming international competitions.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet stated that Karl Lim’s return adds a valuable professional resource to the team. His training methods are modern, scientific, and well-suited to the physical condition of Vietnamese athletes.
Mr. Kiet also emphasized that the entire team’s goal is to reach peak physical condition for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of this year.
