Vietnamese female volleyball star achieves an unprecedented milestone and officially 'levels up' at age 27

She is one of the most talented personalities in Vietnamese women's volleyball, having set a unique record at age 18 and becoming a mother at 27.

Nguyễn Thu Hoài, born in 1998 in Thái Bình, is a famous setter in the history of Vietnamese women's volleyball. She played for the Công Thương Bank Club for many years before retiring in early 2025 and starting work at Vietinbank's office sector.

At the end of 2024, Thu Hoài married her boyfriend Bảo Anh, who is the same age and from the same hometown (former) of Thái Bình. By September 2025, her life entered a new phase.

On September 24, the former Vietnamese female volleyball player posted on her personal page the news that she had officially become a mother. Thu Hoài gave birth to a son weighing 3.6 kg. She is one of the best setters in Vietnamese women's volleyball history, having represented the national team and won a SEA Games silver medal.
