The future of Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền is now clear.

The last time Bích Tuyền participated in a professional game was in Vietnam women's volleyball team’s historic win against Thailand in August of the previous year.

Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền will not compete at least in the 2026 season, according to Mr. Thái Thanh Tùng - head coach of LPB Ninh Bình club. SGGP.

Many fans are concerned about Bích Tuyền’s future, especially since the hero of Vietnam women’s volleyball at the 2nd stage of the 2025 SEA V.League with the historic win against Thailand, the opposite hitter from Vĩnh Long unexpectedly withdrew from the World Championship roster and later did not participate with LPB Ninh Bình in the second phase of the national championship.

Since then, Bích Tuyền has locked her personal social media accounts, only appearing in photos where she is pictured with former track athlete Nguyễn Thị Huyền, and later attending the wedding of middle blocker Phạm Thị Hiền.

According to coach Thái Thanh Tùng, Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền will remain part of LPB Ninh Bình but will join the team’s coaching staff. Tuyền has specific responsibilities and, as per the coach, she remains a very important member of the club.

Therefore, Bích Tuyền will not leave, but it can be understood that the 2000-born hitter will not be able to play this season. Without club-level appearances, it will be difficult for Bích Tuyền to return to the national team.

Before her unexpected break, Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền was a key scorer for Vietnam women's volleyball. During 2024-2025, she shone brightly, helping the national team win the AVC Nations Cup twice consecutively, earn a bronze medal at the FIVB Challenger Cup, finish runner-up at the VTV Cup, win a stage of the SEA V.League, rise significantly in the world rankings, and qualify for the World Championship.

At the club level, the 25-year-old opposite hitter was the brightest star of LPB Ninh Bình, consistently helping the team remain among the top in the national championship, including winning the 2023 title. Additionally, she proved her ability internationally by securing a silver medal at the 2024 Asian Club Championship and demonstrating excellent scoring skills at the World Club Championship the same year.
