Nguyen Van Quoc Duy is among the leading volleyball attackers in Vietnam, distinguished by his excellent approach and aggressive serving skills.
The Svay Rieng Provincial Police Club (Cambodia) recently confirmed the successful signing of the outside hitter Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, marking a significant milestone in the career of the player born in 2000. This is also the first time the talent from Tra Vinh has gone abroad to play professionally, opening a promising new chapter for both Quoc Duy personally and Vietnamese men’s volleyball.
Accordingly, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy will wear the jersey of Svay Rieng Provincial Police Club to participate in the Cambodian National Championship, held from February 7 to March 1, 2026, in Phnom Penh. This tournament gathers many strong regional teams, is well-organized, and increasingly attracts great attention from fans.
Svay Rieng Provincial Police Club is currently the reigning champion of the league and is regarded as one of the financially strongest and most ambitious teams in Cambodia. In recent seasons, the club has heavily invested in its roster, actively recruiting quality foreign players to maintain its dominance. Bringing Nguyen Van Quoc Duy into the squad is viewed as a strategic move to defend their title.
Specializing as an outside hitter, Quoc Duy is highly rated for his impressive vertical leap and versatile attacking skills, especially his famous attacking serve that earned him nicknames like "NishiDuy" or "Vietnam’s Nishida." He is expected to become the main offensive weapon for Svay Rieng Provincial Police Club in the upcoming tournament.
Recently, Quoc Duy appeared in a training video in Cambodia, where the player affiliated with Ho Chi Minh City Police team executed a powerful approach and scored beautifully after a set from the national team’s setter from the neighboring country. If he performs at his best, it is only a matter of time before Quoc Duy shines and gains more fans in Cambodia.
