Is Vi Thị Như Quỳnh joining VTV Bình Điền Long An?

In addition to national tournaments such as the National Championship and Hùng Vương Cup, VTV Bình Điền Long An is set to represent Vietnam at the 2026 AVC Champions League.

The current national champion VTV Bình Điền Long An is planning to strengthen its squad for the 2026 AVC Champions League, with outside hitter Vi Thị Như Quỳnh considered one of the top targets the southern team hopes to borrow for the competition - according to SGGP.

This interest is well-founded because Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is not an unfamiliar face to VTV Bình Điền Long An. In 2025, the outside hitter from Tương Dương, Nghệ An, wore the yellow jersey and helped the team secure the runner-up position at the AVC Champions League. That was also the first significant international milestone in Như Quỳnh’s club career, proving her ability in the highly competitive Asian volleyball environment.

Currently, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is playing in Indonesia for the Medan Falcons club. Although the team has not met expectations—failing to win any matches since the season began—Như Quỳnh has regularly been trusted to start as the outside hitter and has made notable contributions. Regular appearances in the Indonesian National Championship have allowed the 2002-born spiker to gain more international match experience.

After completing her contract in Indonesia, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh is expected to return home at the end of February to join Hanoi Tasco Auto, her main club for the 2026 season.

Như Quỳnh joined Hanoi as a free agent earlier this year after her contract with Quảng Ninh expired. The 23-year-old outside hitter is one of three notable newcomers to the capital’s team, alongside two other national players — libero Nguyễn Khánh Đang and middle blocker Lê Thanh Thúy.
