Trần Thị Thanh Thúy is currently enjoying an unforgettable period in the "Land of the Rising Sun".

The captain of the Vietnam women's volleyball team - Trần Thị Thanh Thúy attended the Gunma-Vietnam Exchange Festival held at the Gunma Prefectural Government headquarters in Japan.

As one of the most distinguished and outstanding Vietnamese citizens living and working in Gunma, Thanh Thúy served as a vital link between the two communities there. The event, held on February 21 and 22, was not only a cultural celebration but also a symbol of the increasingly strong relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

Thanh Thúy participated in this meaningful event without any scheduling conflicts related to her matches. This week, "4T" and her teammates are on a break, while other clubs - including Trần Thị Bích Thủy and her team Okayama Seagulls - continue to compete.

The outside hitter born in 1997 has delivered impressive performances in the 2025-2026 Japan National Volleyball Championship. Returning to the "Land of the Rising Sun" amid doubts due to a persistent knee injury and declining form, Thanh Thúy has strongly responded by partnering with Olivia Rozanski to lead the offense for Gunma Green Wings, significantly contributing to the team's placement in the top 8 of this year's SV.League standings — qualifying them for the championship playoff round.

It is no exaggeration to say that "4T" has brought a fresh look to Gunma Green Wings. Last season, the green team was among the bottom ranks with very poor performance.

After 29 appearances for Gunma, Thanh Thúy has scored 441 points (395 attack points, 29 blocks, and 17 service points), ranking in the top 20 scorers and top 6 players with the best scoring efficiency from behind the 3-meter line in the league.
