A season filled with high expectations placed on Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh and her teammates.
Although their strength varies over time, Thong Tin - Dong Bac remains one of the most captivating teams in Vietnamese women's volleyball. As a club rich in identity, achievements, and continuity, it boasts a lineup of beauties "each unique and flawless", every step of the soldier team's journey draws special attention from fans.
According to SGGP, the players of Thong Tin - Dong Bac resumed training on February 22 (the 6th day of Lunar New Year). The team is making important preparations aimed at major upcoming domestic tournaments: the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup and the first phase of the national volleyball championship.
In every competition they enter, Thong Tin - Dong Bac sets very high goals. Specifically, in the national championship, coach Pham Van Long and his team expect to finish in the top 3 overall. At the National Sports Festival held at the end of this year - where the soldier team is the reigning champion, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh and her teammates have no other goal than to defend their precious gold medal.
Additionally, the youth team of Thong Tin - Dong Bac is also the reigning champion of the three biggest youth tournaments in Vietnam: the U23, the national youth championship, and the national youth club championship.
To maintain its identity and be ready for the National Sports Festival, Thong Tin - Dong Bac follows a policy of using only players developed by the club. Homegrown talents like Pham Quynh Huong, Lai Thi Khanh Huyen, Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Phan Kim Chi, etc., are likely to be given more opportunities by coach Pham Van Long in the first team, promising to be outstanding athletes in Vietnamese volleyball if they stay on the right path.
