The reigning national champions, VTV Bình Điền Long An, have finalized the list of players participating in the play-off match for a spot at the 2026 AVC Women's Champions League (Asian Women's Volleyball Club Championship) against Supreme Chonburi, scheduled for February 26 (10th day of the lunar calendar).
Notably, Coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa will bring only 11 players to Thailand for this highly significant match. Most selected players are familiar faces to Vietnamese volleyball fans and are very young, with an average age of just 22.4 years.
As usual, Võ Thị Kim Thoa will lead the team, expected to guide the younger players against Chonburi with her superior experience and proven caliber at many major tournaments. Other key players of VTV BĐLA include Nguyễn Thị Trà My, Lê Như Anh, Nguyễn Lan Vy, Lữ Thị Phương, among others.
Importantly, Coach Ngọc Hoa will have Đặng Thị Kim Thanh available on loan. Kim Thanh originally belongs to VTV BĐLA but is now registered with TPHCM. The volleyball beauty born in 1999 will be the sharpest attacker on the reigning national champions’ front line.
Without the best lineup, no foreign players, less preparation time than the opponent, and playing away in Thailand, many challenges await Coach Ngọc Hoa’s team.
The match between VTV Bình Điền Long An and Supreme Chonburi will take place on February 26. The winner will secure a direct spot in the 2026 AVC Champions League held in South Korea in April.
