Determine the official joining date of Vietnamese women's volleyball top spiker to Coach Tuan Kiet's team

Spiker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh will officially become a member of the Hanoi women's volleyball team from March 1, 2026, following the conclusion of her contract with Club Medan Falcons in Indonesia's National League.

The arrival of the 2002-born hitter at Hanoi Tasco Auto Club is considered one of the most notable signings in Vietnamese women's volleyball ahead of the 2026 season.

According to SGGP newspaper, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has finalized procedures to bring Nhu Quynh to the Capital's women's volleyball team upon her return to Vietnam. Recently, this spiker competed in the Indonesian National Championship for Club Medan Falcons, gaining more international experience and maintaining stable form.

Before going abroad, Nhu Quynh was a member of the Quang Ninh women's team. However, after the team failed to secure promotion at the 2025 National A Division finals, she bid farewell when her contract ended in late December 2025.

The decision to join Hanoi is seen as a suitable move at the peak of her career, especially as the Capital team sets major goals for the new competition cycle.

Although financial terms were not disclosed, Hanoi Club signed a three-year contract with Nhu Quynh. This is viewed as a long-term commitment, highlighting her important role in the team's development plan for the 2026 season and beyond.

2025 witnessed Nhu Quynh's outstanding performance for the national team. She played a key role in helping the Vietnamese women's team win the silver medal at the 2025 SEA Games, while also participating in major tournaments like the 2025 AVC Nations League, 2025 SEA V.League, and the 2025 World Championship.

Having developed through the Industrial and Commercial Bank of Vietnam's youth system, Nhu Quynh previously played for that club before moving to Quang Ninh and now Hanoi. That journey reflects her persistent accumulation of professional skills and competitive mentality.

With the addition of Nhu Quynh and two other quality players, libero Khanh Dang and middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy, the Hanoi women's team demonstrates clear ambition.

The goal of reaching the top 3 in the 2026 National Championship and aiming for high achievements at the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026 has been realized through strong moves in the transfer market.
