This spiker with an impressive height is currently in a memorable phase of her professional journey.
Opposite hitter Ly Thi Luyen officially joins Nakhon Ratchasima VC. to compete in Stage 2 of the Thai Women's Volleyball League for the 2025-2026 season.
Although Nakhon Ratchasima had not previously posted an introduction for the new recruit, and Ly Thi Luyen's image did not appear in the team's player introduction a few days ago, it is "as certain as can be" that this 1.95m tall opposite hitter has joined the Thai representative.
Not only Vietnamese volleyball fans but also Thai supporters eagerly awaited the notable new recruit from Lao Cai HCDG joining Nakhon Ratchasima. On February 26th, Ly Thi Luyen arrived in Thailand and, with her new teammates, visited a temple to seek luck for the remainder of the season.
Nakhon Ratchasima is a strong club in Thailand, having won the national championship six times in the past. Last season, they led the group stage and finished the season with a bronze medal.
The signing of Ly Thi Luyen demonstrates the great championship ambitions of the orange-clad team.
At her new club, Ly Luyen will become teammates with notable names in Thai volleyball such as setter Sirima Manakij; opposite hitters Waruni Kanram, Tichakorn Boonlert (sister of Tichaya Boonlert who plays for Lao Cai HCDG) and Kaewkalaya Kamulthala (who played for Hanoi Tasco Auto in the 2025 National A League Finals), etc.
She is one of three foreign players for Nakhon Ratchasima, along with Morgan Bossler (USA) and Graziele Souza (Brazil).
Joining the Thai club does not affect Ly Thi Luyen's plan to participate in the National Championship. Stage 2 of the Thai League concludes in early April, allowing this impressively tall opposite hitter to return in time to play for her home club, Lao Cai HCDG.
