Continuously explosive, Vietnam's top female volleyball opposite hitter surpasses the opposite hitters of Japan's two strongest teams.

The current top female volleyball opposite hitter from Vietnam keeps delivering outstanding performances in Japan's National Championship, standing out among the opposite hitters of the league's two top teams.

Tran Thi Bich Thuy continues to affirm her class in the 2025-2026 Japanese National Volleyball Championship. Although she and her teammates suffered another defeat this season, losing 1-3 to Denso Airybees, Bich Thuy individually played explosively, scoring 14 points for her team. She was the top scorer for Okayama Seagulls in this match.

Despite not receiving many favorable sets from Okayama Seagulls' setter, Bich Thuy still found ways to shine.

After 17 appearances for Okayama Seagulls, she has scored a total of 160 points for the team, achieving an average efficiency of over 9.4 points per match. This is a highly impressive average for an opposite hitter.

Bich Thuy is currently the opposite hitter with the best average scoring efficiency among Okayama Seagulls' eight opposite hitters and is also one of the two players with the highest performance efficiency in this team.

In fact, Bich Thuy's average scoring efficiency is higher than that of any of the 11 opposite hitters from the two clubs leading this season's Japanese National Volleyball Championship: NEC Red Rockets (ranked 1st) and SAGA Hisamitsu Springs (ranked 2nd).

Although competing in what is currently the world's 5th-ranked volleyball league, the Gen Z player shows no signs of psychological pressure, instead displaying full confidence.

Despite joining Club Okayama Seagulls relatively late, Bich Thuy demonstrates a rapid ability to integrate and adapt. Based on what she has shown and continues to show at Okayama Seagulls, Bich Thuy is having another impressively successful overseas season on a personal level.

This could serve as a "passport" helping her come into the sights of many top-tier Japanese clubs as well as clubs in other developed volleyball leagues worldwide in the future.
