Vietnamese volleyball beauty queen and teammates receive good news, Coach Tuan Kiet faces a major challenge

Vietnamese volleyball fans are set to see the first significant competition of 2026, with the participation of powerful squads.

The first major tournament of 2026, the Hoa Lu Binh Dien Cup, will be held from March 18 to March 24, 2026, in Ninh Binh. The competition will feature six teams, including host LPBank Ninh Binh, BCTT Binh Doan 19, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Hanoi Tasco Auto Club, Vietinbank, and Long Son Cement Thanh Hoa.

The tournament organizers have conducted the group draw. Accordingly, in Group A, the first-time participant Hanoi Tasco Auto Club will be grouped with the reigning national champion VTV Binh Dien Long An and Vietinbank. Meanwhile, Group B includes host LPBank Ninh Binh, the Signal Corps (BCTT) Binh Doan 19, and Long Son Cement (XMLS) Thanh Hoa.

Thus, we can see that Kieu Trinh and her teammates at BCTT Club are in a relatively "comfortable" group, as host Ninh Binh has undergone significant roster changes: Bich Tuyen is no longer playing, Le Thanh Thuy has joined Hanoi Tasco Auto Club, while another key opposite hitter, Nguyen Thi Trinh, is taking a break from competition to focus on family life after marriage.

The remaining opponent in the military women's volleyball team's group is XMLS Thanh Hoa, but this team also lacks a truly strong squad. Their brightest star is Chinese outside hitter Cai Xiaoqing, but she is expected to only be available to play for XMLS Thanh Hoa in the first round of this year's National Club Championship.

Meanwhile, in Group A, Coach Tuan Kiet's Hanoi Tasco Auto Club faces a significant challenge as they must compete against the reigning national women's volleyball champion, VTV Binh Dien Long An. Additionally, Mr. Tuan Kiet will face his former club, Vietinbank, following two recent friendly matches (one win, one loss) against this team.
