After two consecutive losses to NEC Red Rockets last week, Gunma Green Wings entered this round determined to regain their winning momentum. Although facing Toray Arrows Shiga – a team ranked 12th in the standings – Trần Thị Thanh Thúy and her teammates encountered significant difficulties.

Gunma started the match quite positively. The two teams traded points for most of the first set, with Gunma even leading 14-11. However, Toray Arrows surged strongly at the end of the set to reverse the score to 22-17. Although Gunma tied it at 23-23, Toray still capitalized on their opportunities to close the set with a 25-23 win.

In the second set, Gunma Green Wings quickly regained control. Thanh Thúy's team started enthusiastically, soon creating a point gap and maintaining the advantage until the end of the set to win decisively 25-15, thus equalizing the score at 1-1.

However, instability again troubled Gunma in the third set. Toray Arrows seized opportunities to lead 10-7 then 13-8, before widening the gap and ending the set 25-19, thereby regaining the advantage.

Forced into a must-win situation, Gunma Green Wings entered the fourth set with high determination. They led 10-7 then 15-10, but Toray persistently chased and tied it at 18-18. At the decisive moment, Gunma kept their composure to advance and lead 24-20. Although Toray saved two set points, Gunma still closed the set with a 25-22 win, sending the match into the deciding set.

The fifth set was extremely tense as the two teams continuously chased each point. Gunma led 7-4 at one point, but Toray quickly erased the gap, bringing the score to 10-10. The stalemate lasted until the final points, and Gunma Green Wings capitalized on their chances to secure a 19-17 win, thus concluding the match 3-2. In this match, Thanh Thúy scored 18 points including 17 attack points (34% efficiency) and 1 block point.

This breathless victory helped Gunma Green Wings achieve their 19th win of the season, while regaining confidence after a previous unsatisfactory streak.
