Vietnam's volleyball opposite hitter played her first match in Thailand, helping her team advance to the finals.

Ly Thi Luyen delivered an excellent debut performance for Nakhon Ratchasima Club in the Thai Women's National Volleyball Championship.

Today, opposite hitter Ly Thi Luyen had an impressive debut in the 2025/2026 Thai National Volleyball Championship wearing the jersey of Nakhon Ratchasima Club after several weeks of training with the team.

In Ly Thi Luyen's first match at the Thai National Championship, Nakhon Ratchasima secured a 3-0 victory over Kanchanaburi Power with scores of 25-19, 25-13, and 25-18. Ly Thi Luyen started as a key player and became the top scorer for her team with 14 points.

Notably, 8 of these points came from blocking plays, highlighting the prominent defensive role of the Vietnamese opposite hitter at the net. This performance contributed to Nakhon Ratchasima's control of the match and a swift conclusion in just three sets.

The victory over Kanchanaburi Power also marked a successful start in the Thai League 2025/2026 and a positive beginning for Ly Thi Luyen in her first appearance at the Thai National Championship.

On the standings, Nakhon Ratchasima Club leads with 10 wins out of 11 matches, accumulating 28 points. According to the club's fanpage, this victory ensures they finish first in the second round of the season (considered as the second-round champion). Besides these two rounds, the Thai Women's Volleyball Championship includes a final round with four participating teams. Nakhon Club has already secured a spot in this season's finals.

Before arriving in Thailand, Ly Thi Luyen concluded a memorable season with Hobby Ace in the 2025/2026 Mongolian National Championship. Hobby Ace finished the finals with 2 wins and 4 losses, thereby securing the runner-up position.
