Playing as an opposite hitter but scoring like... a main attacker and a setter, she has made an extremely strong impression in a world top-five volleyball league and is reportedly being targeted by two leading clubs in this country.
Trần Thị Bích Thủy is experiencing a memorable season in the Japanese National Volleyball League. Despite joining Okayama Seagulls quite late and her team having very weak strength, Bích Thủy still delivered a series of explosive performances, creating a significant impact in the Japanese National Volleyball League.
Up to the latest point, she has scored a total of 215 points after only 22 matches for Okayama Seagulls, achieving an average scoring efficiency of over 9 points per match. Bích Thủy is the opposite hitter with the highest scoring efficiency at Okayama Seagulls and she is also among the opposite hitters with the highest average scoring efficiency in the Japanese National League.

Bích Thủy is experiencing a very successful season at Okayama Seagulls.
With Bích Thủy's excellent performance, Okayama Seagulls reportedly wants to extend her contract. More notably, two clubs NEC Red Rockets (currently 1st in the SV League) and Osaka Marvelous (3rd) are also reportedly interested in signing Bích Thủy.
Although it is still a rumor, it is not without basis because Bích Thủy has demonstrated very high and stable performance throughout all the matches she has played for Okayama Seagulls up to this point.
Her career "profile" is also a "plus point" for Bích Thủy, as she has previously played successfully in the Thai National League and the Korean National League, further strengthening her experience factor.

Bích Thủy has scored a total of 215 points after 22 appearances for Okayama Seagulls in the Japanese National Volleyball League.
In the 2018-2019 season, she had her first overseas venture in her career when she was just under 19 years old, joining Quint Air Force. Despite being very young at that time, Bích Thủy played with great confidence, and she and veteran Thai opposite hitter Pleumjit Thinkaow were voted as the best opposite hitter pair in the Thai National Volleyball League for the 2018-2019 season.
The opposite hitter born in 2000 showed impressive form, contributing significantly to help her club finish 5th overall. After 14 rounds, Bích Thủy officially played 13 matches, scoring a total of 147 points and ranking 6th among the attackers who scored the most points in that season's Thai National League.
At Quint Air Force, Bích Thủy was the second-highest scorer, only behind main attacker Sutadta Chuewulim (170 points). Notably, only three opposite hitters were among the top 10 scorers, and Bích Thủy was one of them.

Bích Thủy once won the "Best Opposite Hitter in Thai League" award for the 2018-2019 season.
Not only entering the top 6 scorers in the Thai National Volleyball League for the 2018-2019 season, Bích Thủy also excellently ranked 2nd among the best blocking players with 42 blocking points, just one block point behind the leader, veteran opposite hitter Thinkaow Pleumjit.
In Korea, after only two and a half months playing for GS Caltex, Bích Thủy helped the team defeat all opponents in the Korean National League for the 2024-2025 season. Remember, before Bích Thủy joined, GS Caltex had won only one match in the 2024-2025 season and ranked bottom of the table. But with Bích Thủy in the lineup, GS Caltex won 11 more matches to finish the season with 12 wins, earning a total of 39 points and escaping the bottom position.
Demonstrating her class from Thailand to Korea and now continuing to shine in the Japanese National League, it is no surprise if at least one of the above rumors becomes reality. It is also not surprising if Bích Thủy receives playing invitations from other clubs around the world.
