Border Guard MB Dominates Opponent, Advances to Hung Vuong Cup 2026 Final

Ten days ago, Hanoi suffered a quick 0-3 defeat against reigning champion Border Guard MB in the first stage of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship; ten days later, the same scenario repeated.

Coach Tran Dinh Tien's players remained overwhelmingly superior to their rivals. The squad of Border Guard MB, composed entirely of national team members, played with seamless coordination and consistent attacks, swiftly establishing a large point gap and dominating Hanoi in the first set, before winning decisively 25-15 in this set.

Set 2 witnessed commendable efforts from the capital's volleyball team as they created a tense, back-and-forth battle with Border Guard MB throughout the set.

However, this was still insufficient for Hanoi to surprise the most consistently stable men's volleyball club in Vietnam in recent years. At the decisive final points, Border Guard MB managed to demonstrate their composure and surged ahead to secure a thrilling 28-26 victory.

In Set 3, Hanoi's players could no longer maintain the high accuracy in their shots as in Set 2, while Border Guard MB remained resilient and classy as ever.

The military men's volleyball team again established a fairly safe point difference early in the set, before securing a 25-17 win to conclude the match with a 3-0 victory and earn a spot in the Hung Vuong Cup 2026 final.
