Vietnam women's volleyball team adds more players

The team under head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet is conducting vital preparations ahead of crucial competitions from August to October.

The Vietnam women's national volleyball team is expected to be reinforced with additional personnel to prepare for a series of important international missions from August to October.

According to SGGP, in early July, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and 14 players are training in Da Lat will return to the Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports (UPES1) to enter the next phase of specialized preparation. This is also the time when the coaching staff implements a plan to add 14 more athletes to the training roster.

Strengthening the squad is considered a necessary step as Vietnam women's volleyball must simultaneously compete in two important tournaments in August: the SEA V.League 2026 and the VTV Cup 2026. Since the schedules nearly overlap, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet plans to build two separate lineups.
