The volleyball match between the U.S. and Iran teams implemented a series of special measures.

Several exceptional measures were put in place by the organizers ahead of and throughout the U.S.-Iran volleyball match, but the contest was conducted in line with genuine sportsmanship.

The match between the U.S. and Iranian volleyball teams, held on the evening of June 26, concluded in a completely sportsmanlike atmosphere, with no incidents or tensions arising, despite the fact that the encounter had been considered sensitive due to non-professional factors beforehand.

The meticulous preparations by the Organizing Committee and local authorities helped ensure absolute security, allowing both teams to focus entirely on the competition on the court.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the authorities of the Loiret department in France implemented a range of enhanced security measures before the game kicked off.

In addition to deploying additional police forces, many plainclothes security personnel were also assigned to monitor the competition area and related locations.

Furthermore, details about the hotels where both teams were staying, as well as the training schedules—especially those of the Iranian team—were kept confidential to minimize the risk of protests or disruptive actions.

During the pre-match flag ceremony, the Iranian players appeared with black armbands and observed a moment of solemn remembrance. Iran's Volleyball Federation stated that this was an act to honor those it refers to as "martyrs of the third imposed war," coinciding with the Ashura observance.

The armbands bore the inscription "O Iran!", a slogan signifying patriotic spirit and national unity.

Notably, the commemorative armbands were worn by the Iranian players only during the flag ceremony. Right before the match began, the entire team removed the armbands and proceeded to play as usual. The Iranian and U.S. players also shook hands and exchanged souvenir pins in a friendly atmosphere, demonstrating mutual respect.

Throughout the match, the two sides competed fiercely only in professional terms. There were no provocative actions, unnecessary collisions, or any incidents on the court. The match thus proceeded smoothly, serving as a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship, the professionalism of the athletes, and the effectiveness of the organization and security measures.
